Acupuncture in Japan

So we had our first acupuncture session with Akira Kawamura sensei (Acupuncture Clinic SanYuDo, practitioner of acupuncture and moxibustion, tel: 099-266-0426). No, this is not sponsored, none of my posts are, we paid 2000 yen per person for 45 minute-sessions.

There is a lot more detailed information on my video (link below).

So Kawamura-sensei felt our pulse and told us based on what he felt, what was wrong with us. Once confirmed, he proceeded to do the acupuncture, cupping and in my case moxibustion as well.  He told Keno that he sensed cold on his face and in the middle of his back. While he told me that he sensed that I have ringing ears, and that shocked me since he was right. My ears constantly ring, in fact I don’t remember a time in my life when they didn’t ring. I was quite surprised when he told me this. He said that he has a patient that had high ringing and that with several sessions, the ringing has lowered. He sensed that my ears ring pretty loudly, which they do. The ringing sounds like cicadas singing, and my ears literally ring 24/7, every day.

Here are some pictures and a video about the process and our final thoughts. I can’t say that I 100% believe in it, but it certainly opened up a new world for me. He told that there might be a little problem with my thymus gland and that led me to google and to finding different literature on chakras. I’ve never read those kinds of things before but I am intrigued. I do have some of the symptoms associated with a weak thymus gland, as I tire quite easily, out of breath quite often, etc. So I am glad I went and I am thinking about going back.

  1. Hello.
My family and I are also Kawamura-sensei’s patients .We live in Osaka.
Kagoshima is so far from here,so we always say that we wish we could live in Kagoshima to have his acupuncture treatment regularly !

Thank you for your report on your blog and You Tube.
I can feel Kagoshima as well as how Kawamura-sensei is doing.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment!

My husband and I are thinking about making our visits regular to see if our issues will improve.

It is unfortunate that you live so far away! But it seems that it will be worth the journey if the treatments work for you!

I wish you all the best!
